Glass river specialises in kiln formed screen printed architectural and decorative glass.

Our work is highly coloured. Glass enamel can produce good colour when screen printed but to get the full range of colours we also use coloured glass which is fused within the glass. These methods and the  combination of colour, pattern, texture provides a contemporary alternative to traditional stained glass.

We thrive on exploring the creative potential of glass and welcome commissions of site-specific large-scale artwork. In order to comply with relevant regulations and to ensure that panels in an architectural or public setting are safe and comply with relevant safety regulations we normally use a cold laminating technique. The glass is classified as safety glass and conforms with relevant British Safety and European standards which means it can be used in all domestic and architectural spaces.

For extra strength, either external or for ballastrades, fused glass can be laminated to toughened glass or encased in toughened glass.
